I am told you should never have an ellipses in the title of a post… Well tough. I am writing something for the first time in ages so the ellipses will have to do. In fact it’s the first thing I have added to this blog in over 14 months. For those who can’t work that out, it was June 2018.  Long time no see.

Now I could say I promise to do better, or that I will blog once a day/week/month but we all know that’s rubbish. I just know I will write more now that I have moved to a more reliable host.

To start with lets look at some trailers:

Netflix – Living With Yourself

Miles Elliott, a man struggling in life, undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, only to learn he’s been replaced – literally – by a better version of himself.

The concept sounds cool and Paul Rudd is being, well he’s being Paul Rudd, so I expect a mix of funny and scary. The only downer is the a usual Hollywood trope. Paul Rudd is 50… yet Aisling Bea is 35. Can any Hollywood male lead be in love with or be attracted to someone either their own age or heaven forbid older?

Anyway, the series premiers on Netflix Ocotber 18th 2019.

In the Shadow of the Moon

In 1988, Philadelphia police officer Thomas Lockhart (Boyd Holbrook), hungry to become a detective, begins tracking a serial killer who mysteriously resurfaces every nine years.

One for you serial killer fans out there with a hint of Sci-Fi. I am not keen on this genre of movies, but I am keen the usual and interesting. This seems to tick some of my “want to watch” boxes. You can watch this movie 27th September 2019.

HBO – Watchmen

Watchmen is based on the graphic novel co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons and published by DC.

Before I even carry on, why no mention of Allen Moore? Seems a bit odd… anyway, the more I watch the more I think this will be good. There is clearly some money being thrown at it, probably the Game of Thrones cash they can’t spend any more. I know little of the universe so don’t have a reference point if it matched comic books. I can see this with an open mind.  HBO 20/10/19 and probably Sky Atlantic in the UK the day after.

Killer Sofa

Er… yeah… it’s from New Zealand and it looks bonkers.
